Eileen Halfpenny

Who is Eileen Halfpenny?

“Searching the back country of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario (Canada), I look for rock cuts, canoe routes, forests, and lakes for the vivid subject matter that I paint.”

Many of Halfpenny’s works feature one or another body of water. Not coincidentally, she finds much of her inspiration in her local shore of lake Superior.

Her works bring to life blissful, timeless moments of natural splendor while her unique style joins the viewer not only to woodlands and lake shores, but to Halfpenny’s own internal perspectives and wonder.

Painting the Eastern Shore of Lake Superior

Eileen paints the breathtaking natural beauty that she sees in the Lake Superior Ontario region. Her works are inspired by the shifting colours and textures of the changing seasons.

“This area of Canada is wonderful for the “Outdoor Person” because everywhere you look, you will uncover new vistas. I like to go deeper into the scene I paint and show you new discoveries through my art. I want you to discover things you might not have noticed before.”
